The presence of NATO forces in the region is unacceptable for Iran. Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi stated during the meetings with Secretary of the Security Council of the RA Armen Grigoryan, and the Azerbaijani President’s representative Khalaf Khalafov, Irna Agency reports.
“The Zangezur Corridor in the South Caucasus region is the area where NATO forces will be present. It is a threat to the national security of the countries of the region. The Islamic Republic of Iran is against it,” Raisi said.
It is noted that the President of Iran made that statement during the negotiations with both Grigoryan and Khalafov.
