Commenting on the arrest of Ruben Vardanyan, Dmitry Peskov, the Press Secretary of the Russian President said that he does not have such information and cannot say anything about it.
“I do not know about his [Vardanyan’s] arrest, I do not know by whom he was arrested, was he arrested, or not, and whether he has Russian citizenship,” Peskov said, and added that if Vardanyan has Russian citizenship, Russia will protect his rights.
It should be noted that Ruben Vardanyan renounced Russian citizenship before moving to Artsakh in 2022.
