The member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) will, if necessary, be ready to support the ally in the Caucasus. The Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff, Colonel-General Anatoly Sidorov stated at the press conference, answering the question whether Armenia’s decision not to hold CSTO military exercises in its territory will affect the organization’s work. “If the situation requires the involvement of forces and means of the collective security system in the Caucasus region, I think that the CSTO member states will be ready to lend a shoulder to their ally in the Caucasus region,” he said.
