The General Prosecutor’s Office informed that on 28 October, 2022, criminal proceedings were initiated against experts Sh.G. and G.H. due to the fact of giving an obviously false conclusion related the criminal case initiated in connection with the case of depriving Poghos Poghosyan of his life in the toilet corridor of “Aragast” cafe in Yerevan, on 25 September, 2001,
TheProsecutor General’s Office reported.
In the framework of the mentioned proceedings, on 17 November, 2022, the prosecutor supervising the legality of the preliminary investigation made decisions to initiate public criminal prosecution against forensic doctors Sh.G. and G.H. and sent them to the investigator conducting the preliminary investigation to present to the accused.
On 21 November, 2022, with the consent of the supervising prosecutor, the investigator conducting the preliminary investigation decided to choose the suspension of office or temporary interruption of activity as a preventive measure against the defendants Sh.G. and G.H.
A copy of the decision was sent to the Scientific Practical Center of Forensic Medicine SNPO, Ministry of Health for its execution.
