The number of people arrested in connection with the terrorist attack in Istanbul has reached 50, Bekir Bozdağ, Minister of Justice of Turky announced. RIA Novosti writes.
Let’s remind that in the afternoon of 13 November, an explosion thundered on the pedestrian Istiklal Street in the center of Istanbul, as a result of which six people were killed and 81 were injured.
The suspect in the attack was arrested; the latter admitted that has ties to the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, which is banned in Turkey. Süleyman Soylu, the Head of the Turkish Ministry of Interior expressed doubts that the order of the terrorist attack came from the Syrian border town of Kobani, and the criminal entered Turkish territory through the town of Afrin.
Soylu said on 14 November that the authorities of his country do not accept the condolences of the US Embassy regarding the attack.
