President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky called the battles in the Donetsk region “hellish”. These words were said in the address to the Ukrainians on the evening of 12 November.
“And especially these words of gratitude are addressed to those who are resisting the Russian attacks in the Donetsk region. There is just hell out there. There are fierce battles every day. Thanks to the strong defense there, in the Donetsk region, we can carry out offensive operations in other directions,” he said.
In his address, Zelensky mentioned the settlements of Pavlovka, Marinka, Pervomaiskoye and Avdiivka. In a report on the morning of 13 November, the Armed Forces of Ukraine informed that the Russian attacks were repulsed in the first three of them.
