The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation considers ensuring the security of the Union State to be its priority in the conditions of the increase in the number of NATO groups, the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu stated.
“Under these conditions, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation considers ensuring the military security of the Union State as its priority,” Shoigu said at the Collegium meeting with the Ministry of Defense of Belarus.
“We pay special attention to the training of troops and increasing their combat capability. We regularly hold joint operational and combat training events, including within the CSTO, CIS, and SCO frameworks,” Shoigu said.
