The Editor-in-Chief of RT, Margarita Simonyan, referred to the ban on the entry of Konstantin Zatulin, the Chairman of the Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots of the Russian State Duma, and the Chairman of the Institute of CIS States.
She wrote in her Telegram channel that Konstantin Zatulin has been a supporter of Armenia for many years.
“His entry to Armenia was banned by the current head of Armenia. By the way, mine too,” she said.
Notably, the First Deputy of the State Duma’s CIS Affairs Committee, Konstantin Zatulin, said that the Armenian parliament called his entry into the country undesirable because of the statements he made against Armenia.
On the Telegram channel, Zatulin said that he received a letter from the Armenian Parliament on 25 October.
“On behalf of the leadership of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, we inform you that, unfortunately, your recent public statements against the Republic of Armenia harm the development of friendly and allied relations between our countries. In this sense, your future visit to the Republic of Armenia is considered undesirable,” Zatulin quoted the text of the letter.
