The UK faces major economic challenges that will require tough government decisions. Rishi Sunak, the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, announced on Tuesday.
“Right now our country is facing a deep economic crisis. The effects of COVID are still being felt. Putin’s war in Ukraine has destabilized energy markets and disrupted supply chains,” Sunak said in his first speech in his new position.
“Economic stability and trust will be the primary tasks of the Government, which means that difficult decisions are expected,” he said.
