Rishi Sunak, the new leader of the ruling Conservative Party of Great Britain, will take over the post of Prime Minister on 25 October, after being received by King Charles III. The message from the office at 10 Downing Street stated.
It is noted that retired Prime Minister Liz Truss will meet with the members of the cabinet in the morning, after which she will make a farewell speech at her residence.
At approximately 10:15 local time (13:15 Yerevan time), she will arrive at Buckingham Palace, where Charles III will accept her resignation.
Then the monarch will hold a meeting with Sunak, during which he will offer him to form His Majesty’s Government. Around 11:35 (14:35 Yerevan time) the New Head of the Government will address the people of Great Britain.
