The Italian Coastal Security Service conducted an operation at the accident site of a 40-meter yacht near the city of Catanzaro. As the “RIA Novosti” agency informs, the owner of the “Saga” vessel is the Russian businessman Gennady Ayvazyan, who is active in the field of coal mining.
The ship was under the flag of the Cayman Islands. It is noted that the incident happened a few days ago. The cruise ship had left the port of Gallipoli and headed for the northeast coast of Sicily.
The rescuers took out the 4 passengers and 5 crew members of the yacht. The video of the sinking of the vessel was published as well.
