Closing Ukraine to the skies will have enormous consequences not only for the Russian Federation, but also for Europe, there is an understanding of that, said Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“The fulfillment of this demand to close the skies is associated with enormous catastrophic consequences not only for Europe but for the whole world. I think those who are shouting something on the other side understand that,” Putin said at a meeting with women flight crews of Russian airlines.
During the meeting, Putin also said that only professionals take part in the special operation in Ukraine.
“Only professional servicemen, officers and contractors take part in this special operation in Ukraine. There are no conscripts, we do not plan to involve them in this case,” he said.
He also referred to the need to declare a state of emergency in Russia, saying that such an action is not planned yet.
