Zelensky tried to make a phone call with Putin: the latter did not answer

Ukrainian President Volodymyr  Zelensky wanted to have a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, but he did not respond. The head of Ukraine stated this in his video message, which he sent in Russian. Ukrinform reports .

“Today I initiated a telephone conversation with the President of the Russian Federation. The result is silence. The silence should have been in Donbas,” Zelensky said.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr  Zelensky has declared martial law throughout the country.

He announced this in a post on his Telegram channel .

Zelensky said that Ukraine’s security and defense systems are working. “Do not panic, we are strong, we will win,” Zelensky told citizens.

He said that he had already talked to US President Joe Biden and that the US side was already preparing international aid for Ukraine.

Early in the morning on 24 February, Russian President Vladimir Putin delivered a statement announcing the decision to launch a special military operation in Donbas.

“Circumstances require us to take decisive and immediate action. The Donbass People’s Republics have appealed to Russia. “I have decided to launch a special military operation in this regard,” Putin said in a televised address to Russian citizens.
