Azerbaijani Atrocities in the Film of Italian Journalist

Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan wrote on his Facebook page:

“Stefania Battistini, a well-known professional journalist of the Italian Rai 1 TV Channel, has made a feature film, which refers to last year’s Artsakh war, its causes and consequences.

Azerbaijani servicemen committed atrocities, beheading Armenians, cutting off the bodies of slain people and doing so with open faces, confident that they would not be punished. Then, they spread videos or photos about it on social networks, spreading scenes of violence in Armenian environment, and are encouraged in their country. During the war, jihadists and terrorists were used against Artsakh and Armenia, and weapons containing chemical elements (presumably containing white phosphorus) were used.

These war crimes and atrocities will give birth to new, more serious crimes if the organizers and performers are not punished. I also talked about human rights violations during the war in the film; I showed the evidence of war crimes.

I also spoke about the very disproportionate reaction of international organizations, as well as the fact that all this led to ethnic cleansing in Artsakh, a consequence of the genocidal policy.

An excerpt from an hour-long film.”
