In the proceedings of the Fifth Garrison Investigation Division of the Military Investigation Department of the RA Investigative Committee, Lieutenant H.A. with a combination of sufficient evidence obtained in the criminal case on the case of Arthur Ghazaryan’s death, was charged under Article 365, Part 3 of the RA Criminal Code.

In particular, on 16 July, 2021, at around 9:40 p.m., Lieutenant H.A. received a report that an alleged movement of the enemy had been observed in the area of ​​the position at the firing point of the military unit, and carried out a site survey, during which, at 9:45 p.m. noticing a movement within the borders, he violated the rules of carrying out combat duty, fired single shots from the rifle attached to him in the mentioned direction, as a result of which conscript Artur Ghazaryan received a fatal gunshot wound to the head, causing severe consequences.

Detention was chosen as a measure of restraint against the lieutenant.

The preliminary investigation of the criminal case continues.
