French President Emanuel Macron tweeted that he had a long conversation with Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdoğan ahead of the NATO summit in Brussels.
“Before the NATO summit, I had a long tête-à-tête conversation with President Erdoğan. To move forward with clarity, respect and demand,”Macron wrote.
Earlier, the French President announced his intention to hold talks with his Turkish counterpart to discuss the “rules of conduct” of NATO allies, as well as the situation in Syria, Libya and Nagorno-Karabakh.
