I visited our compatriots displaced from the occupied territories of Artsakh: Artsakh Human Rights Defender

Yesterday, I visited our compatriots who were displaced from the occupied territories of Artsakh and located in Vank, Arajadzor, Charektar communities. We learn about this from the Facebook page of Artsakh Human Rights Defender Gegham Stepanyan.

“The most important issues of concern to the displaced people include the security of Artsakh, the foreseeable future, the issues related to housing, providing employment and housing to the displaced population, which I will present to the responsible bodies in the form of systematic proposals.

In the direct conversations, issues related to the living conditions of the citizens were raised, which in the case of coordinated relations between the citizen and the public administration system can easily get their solutions.

We must also state that there is a need for proper organization of the exchange of information on the needs of the displaced inhabitants, in the case of which the state system can be more operative-targeted, thus finding solutions to various issues. In any case, the citizen should not be left alone with the problems that have befallen him.

State support for the improvement of the living conditions of the displaced population should not be delayed, because in some cases the citizens live in difficult conditions, where the minimum living conditions are not observed, even the necessary conditions for maintaining personal hygiene.

As a vulnerable group, the problems of the displaced population are in the center of the Human Rights Defender’s attention, regular meetings with them are a priority for us, as it is the best way to get acquainted with the problems on the spot, discuss ways to solve this or that problem,” he wrote.
