Armenia informed the Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) with an official statement on the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, which was sent to the Chairman of the CSTO Collective Security Council, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon. Consultations on the situation in Syunik region will be held in the coming days, CSTO spokesman Vladimir Zainetdinov told TASS .
“The issue of holding consultations is currently being worked out. The forthcoming consultations are expected to take place in the coming days,” he said.
Zainetdinov noted that the CSTO Secretary General held talks with the representatives of Armenia and Tajikistan during the day.
“Today, CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas discussed the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border over the phone with Armenian Acting Foreign Minister Ara Ayvazyan and Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin,” he said.
