A khachkar (cross-stone) was installed in the park after Tatul Krpeyan in Yerevan to perpetuate the memory of the Armenians who died heroically in the 44-day Artsakh war. The initiative to install the monument belongs to the head of Nor Nork administrative district Hovhannes Manukyan. The family members, relatives and friends of the heroes killed in the war, members of the Yerevan Council of Elders and guests attended the opening ceremony.

Yerevan Municipality informed.

“After the end of the war, I decided to erect a monument-khachkar. We are in constant contact with the families of the heroes who died in the war. The administrative district will continue to support these families as much as possible within its powers,” the head of the Nor Nork administrative district said.
