The head of the “Bright Armenia” faction of the National Assembly Edmon Marukyan informs:
“Dear compatriots,
A while ago I had a telephone conversation with Prime Minister Pashinyan to discuss the issue of organizing snap parliamentary elections.
In response to our demand for holding elections as soon as possible, the Prime Minister suggested discussing 20 June as an election day, a deadline.
I have mentioned that it is a principle to hold elections in a short time, not to leave them until autumn or 2023.
Therefore, I have stated that June 20, 2021, as a day of special parliamentary elections, is acceptable for us.”
