Russia has been and remains our main strategic ally in the security sphere: Pashinyan

“Moscow remains Yerevan’s main strategic ally in the field of security, the said Armenian side hopes that bilateral relations will continue to develop,” the RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said.

“RIA Novosti”  news agency reported.

“I hope and am convinced that against the background of all these events, the relations between Armenia and Russia will deepen. Russia has been and remains our main strategic ally in the security sphere,” Pashinyan said during a bilateral meeting.

He noted that the Russian President’s contribution to the Karabakh settlement process “is very tangible, especially now.”

Assessing the prospects for the development of the region, after the trilateral statement of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan on Karabakh, Pashinyan noted that the solution of economic issues may be difficult “against the background of unresolved humanitarian issues, namely the exchange of prisoners of war and the bodies of the dead.”
