Negotiations between Russian President Vladimir Putin, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev have started in the Kremlin.

The Russian President thanked the country leaders for arriving in Moscow and expressing readiness to discuss the Karabakh issue.

He stated that the agreement on Karabakh is being implemented consistently. “Preconditions have been created for a comprehensive settlement of the long-standing conflict in Karabakh. Today, it is necessary to outline further steps for the settlement of the Karabakh conflict, including peacekeepers, demarcation lines,” the President said.

Putin also noted that a trilateral working group headed by the Deputy Prime Ministers of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan will deal with the issue of reconstruction in Karabakh.

“Special attention should be paid to the issue of unblocking economic, trade and transport ties in the region, opening borders. These issues will be dealt with by a trilateral working group chaired by the Deputy Prime Ministers of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan,” he said.
