Putin held consultations with the permanent members of the Security Council

Russian President Vladimir Putin had a video meeting with the permanent members of the Security Council. This was reported by the Kremlin.

Particular attention was paid to the situation on the line of contact in the zone of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, extreme concern was again expressed in connection with the ongoing battles, the extreme danger in the region was noted, associated with the transfer of militants from Syria and Libya to it.

Vladimir Putin informed the meeting participants about the preparation of a joint statement by the heads of states – co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group (Russia, the United States and France) on the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh.

Work with Russia’s neighboring states was also discussed. The members of the Security Council heard a report by the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Dmitry Kozak.

In addition, the current socio-economic situation was touched upon as well.
