The explosion near the Lebanese capital, Beirut, has killed at least 135 people, “RIA Novosti” informs quoting the Health Minister Hamad Hassan.

Earlier, 113 deaths were reported.

“The explosion killed 135 people, injured about 5,000 and left dozens missing after it in Beirut,” Hassan said.

Earlier, Beirut Governor Marwan Abboud said the damage from the explosion in the city is estimated at $ 3-5 billion.

The explosion completely destroyed four hospitals, the patients were transferred to other facilities, but many of the victims are still unable to receive medical treatment due to the lack of places in medical facilities.
