The number of victims of the explosion in Beirut has reached 40.
Lebanese Prime Minister Hassan Diab has said that those responsible for the explosion in Beirut will be punished.
“Now is the time to end the aftermath of the catastrophe, bury the dead and heal the wounded. But I promise that those responsible for this catastrophe will be punished,” he said on Lebanese state television.
The Prime Minister called on all fraternal and friendly states to “stand by Lebanon” and “help the country” in healing its deep wounds.
