On March 2, the Republic of Armenia Chess Federation and the RA Chamber of Advocates. Organized a chess competition for the advocates. Tigran Petrosyan, winner of the World Chess Olympiad, World Chess and Armenian Chess Champion attended the tournament as well. The Grand Master participated in a 23 multi-board chess play with the members of the Chamber of advocates. The strongest participated in the competition on his decision.
Smbat Lputyn, Deputy President of the Republic of Armenia Chess Federation, who was present as well, noted the fact that chess is gradually becoming more popular in Armenia.
“Chess is a game, a logical game, but it is an Art and science as well, and also a sport. It combines the desire to the victory, the will and attention towards each move of the rival,” A. Zohrabyan, Vice President of the RA Chamber of Advocates said.
The tournament was held on the 3rd of March. The three leaders were recognized. Member of AYLA, Advocate Karen Kocharyan was recognized the third with 5 points.
Arthur Davtyan with 6.5 points and Armen Vardanyan with 6 points were the first and the second respectively.
