As we have already informed, as of 8 April, 28 new cases of coronavirus disease have been confirmed.
Alina Nikoghosyan, spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health, says:
“The total number of confirmed cases is currently 921. Twelve confirmed cases were left out of the statistics, which were recorded during the last 40 days, when the statistics were not processed electronically. At the moment, the system is automated and the statistics are not based on human factors. The principle of the ministry remains the same: to be open and transparent, which is why we present the following explanation.
As of 9 April, we have a new case of death. The 80-year-old patient had coronavirus disease, severe pneumonia, complicated by respiratory distress syndrome. The man had concomitant chronic diseases, including arterial hypertension, cachexia, and senile sclerosis.”
