The Ministry of Health has submitted to the public discussion a draft law envisaging the establishment of a health tax.

The authors of the project note that 4-6% health taxation will not have a significant negative impact on employee earnings.

“The principles of health tax calculation are based on the fundamental principles of the current tax policy. According to preliminary estimates, for more than 41% of the working population, the health tax will not become an additional burden. For the remaining 59% of workers, the introduction of a health tax is mitigated by leveling the income tax by reducing the amount of income tax. The 4-6% tax rate on health will not have a significant negative impact on employee earnings.”.
