Former Deputy Chairman of the Investigation Committee, lawyer Arthur Ghambaryan touched upon the issue of making banking secrecy available to the court.
“It is time to allow the court to obtain the banking secret of the accused and the person who is objectively and visibly related to the act (s) (if not the defendant), if it is impossible to dispel his connection with the act through any other criminal procedure manner. Today, we have introduced a stronger protection regime for banking secrecy than, for example, for secrecy of communication. In this case, the phone of a person with no status can be heard by the court order,” he wrote.
