The Public Relations Department of the President’s Office of the Republic of Armenia informs:
Armen Sargsyan, who is in the USA on a working visit, attentively observes the events taking place in Armenia.
The President of Armenia had a telephone conversation with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and National Assembly Speaker Ara Babloyan to discuss the situation.
President Sargsyan will address the draft law “On Making Amendment to the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Armenia on the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly” adopted by the National Assembly upon his return to Yerevan, initiating consultations with the Government and the leadership of the National Assembly.
The President urges to be self-restrained and tolerant towards each other and is convinced that the situation is possible and should be settled within the framework of the Constitution and laws, negotiations and dialogue.
From the United States, the President of the Republic of Armenia will leave for Paris to participate in the funeral ceremonies of the world-famous chansonnier Charles Aznavour.
