Is it possible for the State Revenue Committee to rejoin with the Ministry of Finance?

Today, during the special session of the National Assembly the draft on making amendments and additions to the RA Law on ”Remuneration for Persons Holding State Positions” was discussed. The necessity of this change is justified with separation of the State Revenue Committee from the RA Ministry of Finance.

Vakhtang Mirumyan, the Deputy Chairman of the RA State Revenue Committee who represented the issue, noted that three technical suggestions had been presented in the scope of the draft. The first suggests that no official rates for the Chairman or Deputy Chairmen of the State Revenue Committee are defined with the constituent appendix of the law on separating of the State Revenue Committee from the RA Ministry of Finance. It also suggests reestablishing the rates which were defined before the State Revenue Committee was merged with the RA Ministry of Finance.

According to the second suggestion, the Staff members of the State Revenue Committee are registered as members of the Finance Ministry Staff, whereas actually they are in the staff of the RA State Revenue Committee, this need to be edited and corrected. And the third suggestion requires eliminating the norm of providing supplements to the State Servants who master information that contains state or service secrets.

MP Tevan Poghosyan asked whether this was a final amendment or whether it would be possible that the State Revenue Committee would rejoin with the RA Ministry of Finance in the following month.

V. Mirumyan responded that he was not aware if such a question was being discussed, to which Tevan Poghosyan remarked that he is sure the Chairman of the State Revenue Committee reads press and is aware that this issue had been discussed repeatedly.
