Since yesterday, there have been numerous appeals to the armed group not only from the medical community of Armenia but also from many civilians and experts from abroad to release the medical workers kept hostage in the Police Patrol Service Regiment. A great emphasis was put on the idea that this act was beyond all bounds of humanity and worldwide unacceptable.
The RA Ministry of Health, joining the appeals of many civilians and the medical community, calls upon releasing the medical workers kept hostage without any preconditions.
Yesterday, the action of releasing the medical assistant received a positive response from the public. But the community can’t accept the fact of harming experts who fulfill humanitarian mission. Regardless of the intense and difficult circumstances in our country, they continue to provide high quality medical care day and night not only to all citizens, but also the injured civilians, performing their professional duties with honor and staying faithful to their vows.
We continue calling upon releasing the medical workers kept hostage without any preconditions. Also, we demand that the armed group members who need medical care receive it in a due manner.
