On the eve of April 22nd through the morning of the 23rd Azerbaijan violated the ceasefire in the northeastern part of the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border 8 times. In general, the Azerbaijani side used different caliber artillery and sniper weapons in a sporadic nature. They also used 1 60mm mortar (2 shells).
The RA Defense Force frontline subdivisions showed restraint, retaliating only as necessary and confidently controlling the situation along the border.
According to information received by the NKR Defense Forces, on the eve of April 22nd through the morning of the 23rd, there have not been any changes in operational situation along the confrontation zone between NKR and Azerbaijan. Along the entire frontline of the conflict zone, about 65 violations of the ceasefire agreement have occurred. In the northeastern (Martakert) direction 60mm mortars (2 shells), RSL-7 (2 shells) and AOP-17 (13 shells) type grenade launchers were also used by Azerbaijan. In addition, Azerbaijan used AF-23-2 type air-defense system (15 shots).
The subdivisions of the defense army carried out responsive operations, thus suppressing the offensive actions of the adversary.
