This evening a telephonic conversation took place between President Serzh Sargsyan and Russian President Vladamir Putin. The telephonic conversation took place due to the Russian President’s initiative. The two nation’s leaders deliberated the NKR conflict zone situation and the latest developments. The two placed importance on reaching an agreement through the OSCE’s Minsk Group in addition to finding a peaceful settlement of the issues surrounding the NKR conflict, according to the Presidential Administration.
President Putin expressed grave concern about the large scale military conflict which resulted in numerous casualties. The Russian President also expressed the importance of the cease-fire to both sides of the conflict. It was expressed that Russian has and will carry out the appropriate mediating steps to regulate the situation.
An agreement was reached to continue interactions.
