“Euro Ombudsman” the official Journal of human rights national institutions in Europe in its today’s issue referred to the RA Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan’s condemnatory statements on the criminal acts against the civilian population and civilians of NKR by the Azerbaijanian side.
Stressing that the Human Rights Defender is on a working visit in NKR the Journal noted that Arman Tatoyan is in constant contact with international organizations and drew the attention of performing human rights defenders function in the United Nations and the Council of Europe on the facts of a criminal assault on the life and home of Nagorno Karabakh peaceful population and ill-treatment by the Azerbaijani military, as well as an analysis of unacceptable attacks on persons under the special protection of humanitarian law: children and the elderly. The Journal also informs the Ombudsman had submitted to international organizations the results of the study of the situation of human rights in Nagorno-Karabakh from Azerbaijan war.
“The highest level of severity of abuse against the civilians’ rights and life by the Azerbaijani side are unacceptable and intolerable,” quoted the Ombudsman’s statement the “Euro Ombudsman” and stresses that the Azerbaijani authorities violate fundamental requirements of international humanitarian law, by their illegal policy.
The Human Rights National Institutions in Europe closely cooperates with the international human rights organizations. The journal is distributed in a number of countries, including former Soviet republics.
