Several hundred volunteers gathered in Stepanakert. They have come here to go to the front-line. Volunteers from Yerevan have came to Stepanakert as well.
Military commanders told us that volunteers are not taken at this point: they are only recruiting, enlisting, and distributing weapons and uniform, to send them later. The reason is simple; there are too many volunteers at the positions.
Volunteer Ishkhan Kharamanyan has come from Russia. “Right now I am driving a bus in Rostov. If we all rest now who shall come here to defend the land?” he said. Formerly he participated in the battles, and this time he ensures the blow shall be more powerful.
61-year-old Vladimir Oganisyan came prepared. He had a dagger with him. He said he has 5 sons and 7 grandchildren. The sons participated in the fights and were wounded. He had come to go to the positions. “I am a volunteer, my sons are military as well, I will go to join them. We shall not give this land to Turks,” the elderly man said.
Vladimir Grigoryan has two professions: theatrical and medicine. He said that now he game to volunteer as a medic. “I am 67. I have come to go to the battle field so that I can be helpful in the field hospital at least.”
