The NKR DA reports that the statement of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense about unilateral termination of military actions is a piece of disinformation.
In the night of 1 to 2 April the Azerbaijani side initiated large-scale offensive operations against Nagorno Karabakh, using almost all the possible types of its military equipment. Moreover, after spreading the statement they continued dropping shells from MM-21 (“Grad”) type of missile and artillery stations and 152 mm cannons on Armenian civilian settlements, particularly Martakert city.
The above-mentioned facts, as well as the use of such terms as “counterattack operations” and “strengthening the liberated territories” in the statement, highlight that the document is false and is in reality targeted at the imitation of ceasefire with obvious preconditions.
The NKR Defense Army is ready to discuss the ceasefire proposition in the context of restoration of the original positions.
