Ms Gohar Poghosyan, Press Secretary of RA Prime Minister wrote in her Facebook page how much money was allocated for subsidizing the electricity costs by the government in October and November and how many consumers benefited from it.
“Dear colleagues, on the assumption of the fact that recently the issue of subsidizing energy prices has been discussed much, and in order to avoid further misunderstanding and misinformation, I would like to present the official data.
October – After the change in the order of subsidizing around 78.8% of the resident-customers were provided compensation for the used electricity. The number of such consumers in October totaled to 601 thousand. Compensation provided to the consumers totaled to 534.5 million AMD.
November – the sum for subsidizing due to be provided to the consumers was about 487 million AMD. The number of consumers in November totaled to 543 thousand, which is about 70 % of the resident-customers.”
