On 21 December 2015, the CSOs group of Shirak marz of CSOs’ Anti-Corruption Coalition organized an Anti-Corruption event on the theme “Corruption Risks in the Sphere of Medical and Social Expertise and Presentation and summarizing of the Activities conducted by the CSOs Group of Shirak Marz CSOs’ Anti-Corruption Coalition.” The event was organized in the scope of the EU funded “Multi-Faceted Anti-Corruption Promotion” Project and was held at the Gyumri Branch of “European Regional Educational Academy”.
During the event, some members of the CSOs’ Coalition touched upon the topic mentioning that corresponding monitoring should be conducted in the relevant commissions aimed to decrease the corruption risks in the sphere and further to develop and compile a package of recommendations to submit to the RA Government. In addition, before the submission to the Government, the issue should be discussed with the chairpersons of two commissions that work in the region.
Mr. Ara Melikjanyan, President of “LogoS” Youth NGO spoke about the obstacles which their organization faced during the implementation of the anti-corruption project in 2015, and presented the ways for overcoming these obstacles. And finally he proudly said that the report published at the end of the project generated great interest of public at large.
Summing up the 2015, the participants expressed their willingness to work more diligently in 2016 and wished Happy New Year to each other. We learn about this from the Shirak Regional Office of “Multi-Faceted Anti-Corruption Promotion Project.”
