During the trial on the case of Hayk Kyureghyan defendant again didn`t stand up at the court of general jurisdiction of Kentron and Nork-Marash communities when the judge entered the Court room. Judge Armen Bektashyan gave a warning to the defendant explaining his rights. Afterwards Hayk Kyureghyan showed the same attitude when answering to the questions of the judge.
It became known at today`s court sitting that the protection of the defendant`s rights was assumed by advocate Ara Zakaryan. He wasn`t present at the court sitting. Hayk Kyureghyan expressed his desire to renounce the services of the attorney, but the chairman said that he could use that right at the presence of the attorney. The court sitting was postponed and set for 8 December.
Let us remind that the defendant fired shots on 12 July in front of the court building. At that time the court was examining the case of Shant Harutyunyan and friends. Hayk Kyureghyan climbed up the roof of a car and shouted and fired shots at the policemen with “Makarov” air pistol.
