Regular hearing of the court case that caused the arrest of several Kurdish politicians took place in Turkey.
During the hearing held in the 3rd Instance Criminal Court of Mardin, 13 of the 21 defendants in the case were sentenced to 6.3 years in prison.
A decision to pardon the remaining 8 decedents was made at the request of the defenders.
It should be noted that the case was initiated when on 12 August, 2015, the Union of Kurdistan Communities (KCK , which includes the PKK, PYD, PJAK and PÇDK parties ) announced that the people of Kurdistan had no choice but to create an independent government, which they did. The announcements about the creation of an independent government in a number of provinces of Turkey followed (2015-2016) .
Such announcements were made in Şirnak, Hakkari, Aghre, Diyarbakır, Bitlis, Mush, Van, Batman and other provinces.
