Putin told what he discussed with Aliyev

Russian President Vladimir Putin told what he discussed with Azerbaijani President Aliyev at the meeting in Bishkek.

Russian President Vladimir Putin noted the importance of the development of transport infrastructure.

According to him, the previous day he discussed this issue with the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. “Yesterday, I and the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Heydarovich (Aliev-ed.) talked in detail about our plans, including the development of the railway network and roads. All this has a serious and not only regional, but also international significance, in the true sense of the word, and of course it will contribute to the development of the entire economy,” he said.

Putin also stated that over the past three years, the Russian side has made significant efforts to prevent the escalation of the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh and to stop military operations.

“During this whole period, hard work was done in the tripartite Russia-Azerbaijan-Armenia format aimed at the regulation of relations between the two capitals, Baku and Yerevan,” the Russian President noted.

In addition, according to him, the Russian peacekeepers conscientiously performed their mission in Nagorno-Karabakh within the framework of the powers they had.
