President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev today received the special representative of the US President, the Administrator of the US Agency for International Development (USAID), Samantha Power, U.S. Department of State Acting Assistant Secretary for Europe and Eurasian Affairs Yuri Kim, and the US State Department’s Senior Advisor for Caucasus Negotiations, Louis Bono.
The parties have not provided details about the discussed issues.
According to the press release released by USAID on the eve of the visit to Azerbaijan, Power plans to discuss the humanitarian situation in Artsakh and the importance of fulfilling Azerbaijan’s obligations in this regard.
“During her visit, the Administrator will also address the prospects for a durable and dignified peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia, based on mutual respect for each others’ territorial integrity and sovereignty.” the message said.
