Russian President Vladimir Putin is holding a meeting with Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev on Thursday. TASS news agency writes.
The heads of state are talking in the Grand Kremlin Palace after the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, in which Aliyev took part for the first time as a guest.
One of the topics of the conversation, as expected, will be the settlement around Nagorno-Karabakh. At the end of last week, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov met in Moscow with colleagues from Armenia and Azerbaijan, Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov.
As Putin’s Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov previously reported, Putin is also scheduled to meet with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Thursday.
