An earthquake with a magnitude of 7 was recorded in Iran: It was felt in Armenia as well

On 24 March, at 07:16 local time (at 03:16 GMT), the Seismological Network of the Regional Service for Seismic Protection of RA MES registered an earthquake of magnitude 5.3 was recorded at 38.48⁰ north latitude and 45.21⁰ east longitude, 23 km southeast of Khoy city, Iran, at a depth of 10 km.

The strength of the earthquake in the epicentral zone was 7 points.

The earthquake was felt in Syunik marz with a magnitude of 3-4, in Vayots Dzor, Ararat marzes with a magnitude of 3 and in Kotayk marz with a magnitude of 2.
