The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan denies the news about the capture of a soldier of the Armenian Armed Forces on 21 March. “The Armenian serviceman did not appear in the territory under Azerbaijani control and was not captured.”
Earlier, the Press Service of the RA Ministry of Defense reported that on 21 March, around 12:20, RA Armed Forces soldier M. G., while transporting food by car to a combat base, in poor visibility and fog conditions, according to preliminary data, got lost in the terrain and appeared in the area under Azerbaijani control.
Search and rescue operations have been started immediately; steps are being taken to confirm the presence of the serviceman in the territory under Azerbaijani control and to return him.
