In the Vazisubani residential area of Tbilisi, a man fell into an elevator shaft, his wife went down to help him, but at that moment the elevator started to work, as a result of which both of them died. Rustavi 2 TV station reported.
It is mentioned that the deceased are 36-year-old Arman Sarkisov and 32-year-old Armine Voskanyan.
The tragedy happened yesterday, in front of their 4-year-old son. Just 5 days before the incident, Sarkisov shared the news about the victims of the fall of another elevator in Tbilisi on the social network.
Residents blame the city authorities for what happened. They told that the service life of the elevator has long passed, it was in an emergency. Meanwhile, the authorities claim that no one asked them to repair the elevator.
