Arman Movsisyan , who died in the 44 -day Artsakh war, was a contract soldier. He served in the Vayk military unit. He was the father of 3 sons. His wife, Arevik Grigoryan, says that it is difficult for her to raise her three sons without husband. The family now lives in Malishka village of Vayots Dzor region.

“We suffered, but we lived carefree. He had been working out of the country for years that is why I agreed for him to work on a contract basis. I told him ‘you should come back’, he promised that he would come, he said, ‘I will come’, what will I do, they will take me for 3 days. Then he came back and said, “Live well, live well together.” I said, “No, I do not agree,” Arman’s wife says.

She mentions that her husband last called her on 12 October. He told his wife “If there is no homeland, there will be no family.”

The neighbor, Anahit Mkrtchyan, mentions that Arman was an ideal person and was endowed with many positive features, and this does not mean that he is dead and became a hero for them, that was really the case.

They told that he did not retreat, but remained with the commanders until the end. His body was found four months after his death, and his identity was revealed through DNA testing.

“It’s very difficult, they tell me you are strong, you can, but no, I’m not strong,” Arevik says.

Arman Movsisyan was born on 19 October, 1978. He has served in the RA Armed Forces since 2013. He died in the battles for the defense of the homeland on 14 October, 2020.
