A monument in honor of 6 students who died in the 44-day war was unveiled in the yard of the Chekhov School

A monument in honor of the six students who became heroes in the 44-day war was erected at School No. 55 after Chekhov. Deputy Mayor Leon Hovhannisyan, former Mayor Hayk Marutyan and others were present at the opening ceremony.

According to the acting director of the school Diana Minasyan, the memorial to the students was erected by the family of conscript, private Davit Poghosyan.

“It’s the least we can do for them. It is a request toremember and keep alive what the boys did,” Davit Poghosyan’s father says.
