Lavrov noted the condition of the meeting between Putin and Zelensky

The meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky may take place when there is a result in the negotiations between the Moscow and Kiev delegations in Moscow. The statement came from Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, RIA Novosti reported.

“When a summit of the presidents of Russia and Ukraine can take place – President Putin has also said more than once – as soon as there is a result, such a summit may well be convened to consolidate this result,” Lavrov said.

It should be reminded that early in the morning of 24 February, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the launch of a special military operation in Ukraine, aimed at ensuring the security of the Donetsk and Luhansk republics, as well as removing the “Nazi regime” in Ukraine.

The US and the EU have assessed Russia’s move as a direct aggression by Russia against Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.

The Verkhovna Rada has declared martial law in Ukraine.
